Harrison

I can hardly believe that Harrison turned 14 today. He's my first nephew, but he's more like a little brother. He's been my best buddy from day 1. 

I remember the first time I went by myself to visit Steph, Doug, & Harry while they lived in Chicago, I think I was about 14 at the time too. I got off my the late night plane ride and they were there to greet me. Harry was wearing his footed star pajamas and he just looked at me and smiled the whole time. I will always remember that smile. Ours was an instant friendship.

Now he's a lot taller, {he's been rubbing that in for a while}, he's too big to pick up or play superman with, he can't ride on my shoulders and hold my ears, we don't cuddle and watch movies at Nana's, and he'd kick my butt in wrestling these days, but

 He still has that same smile and he's still my best Buddy. 

Yeah, he texts his friends all the time, but that's part of being a teenager. It's been so fun watching him grow up. He's doing a great job of that and I am so very proud of the person Harry is becoming.
